This event aims to bring together people who care about digital equity in Ōtautahi Christchurch, hear some different perspectives about what "digital equity" means to different people, and identify common problem areas where we can focus our collective effort to have the most impact.

Get excited about create apps and starting to build your very own creative toolkit and digital fluency to support teaching and learning with iPad. Delve into the native (free) iPad apps that will promote creativity and support learning across the curriculum.
This full day workshop has loads of hands on learning, resources and tips and tricks. You will leave excited and ready to get creating alongside ākonga straight away!

This hui has a focus on understanding how Aotearoa is tracking towards achieving the SDGs, conversations on sustainable food production and Te Tiriti and the SDGs.
The event will be made up of panel discussions and interactive workshops. Workshops will cover key topics such as how to implement SDGs in your region, with learnings from the Waikato Wellbeing Project, and building a sustainability culture within your organisation with the Sustainable Business Council.

Minecraft EE is free for all ākonga and kaiako in Aotearoa, and is now available on most educational devices, including iPads and ChromeBooks. To support you in making the most of this free tool, ImpactED created a next steps session to help you learn how to create new worlds in Minecraft.

Come along for some hands on learning, loads of ideas, resources and inspiration to get your ākonga engaged, creating and extending their learning.
We will look at building digital fluency, a range of tools, apps and resources, plus links to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.

ShadowTech has evolved! Following six successful years of their existing model where students had the experience of being mentored for a day by tech professionals, they are expanding their reach with this new programme ShadowTech Teachers.
ShadowTech Teachers will give secondary school teachers and career advisors the opportunity to spend half a day with a professional working in the tech industry and get an insight into ‘a day in the life’!

Launching on 25 September (the anniversary of the SDGs adoption) the SDG Art Exhibition will showcase the work of 17 incredible and diverse New Zealand Artists, each artwork being a visual representation of each SDG.
From 26 September-1 October families, students, businesses, everyone, can come to the exhibition to learn about the SDGs and be educated on what you can do to action the goals. This exhibition is about raising awareness for the SDGs, raising funds to charities and organisations that action these goals and raising our glasses to celebrate the power of creativity!

Boma New Zealand is hosting a facilitated discussion for youth (in this instance, students aged 16-20) to share their perspectives on and aspirations for education in our current COVID-19 context and beyond.
