I imagine Christchurch being a city with no silos, where people can find and access courses, classes and workshops easily, what ever their interest or background.
I dream of a city which has people with diverse skill sets and specialties mixing and encouraging, challenging and learning from each other.
Imagine a city where every young person is equipped to pursue career pathways that align with their strengths and values – to unleash their aspirations, creativity and innovation through work that inspires them.

I'm the Deputy Principal at Whītau School. I'm interested in learning more about learning opportunities for our tamariki in Ōtautahi and promoting learning with a future focus. I'm keen to build connections and support the revitalisation of Te Reo Māori starting with tamariki in schools. My school has developed a flexible, culturally rich curriculum which is locally based.
My goal is to connect our communities, creating a place where everyone has access to the learning they need and want while encouraging people to share their skills through micro-credentials.
I grew up and was educated here in Ōtautahi! My heart is here, my whānau is here and I am dedicated to supporting our tamariki in Ōtautahi to lead Aotearoa into the future. I am really proud to be working for CORE Education who is committed to an equitable Aotearoa and with our head office being here in Ōtautahi, our team are active participants in our community and passionate about connecting with other local organisations who are keen to jump in the waka with us! Being homeschooled my whole life taught me that learning didn't stop when school was over, that's when it really begins. School = tools. I believe we are learning, failing, and growing every day. I work with creatives because I believe they help us enjoy that process and to appreciate and celebrate new/different perspectives.
