A two-day digital storytelling workshops aimed to enable learning facilitators, champions and ambassadors in Ōtautahi Christchurch, to create your own digital stories, using smartphones and other affordable equipment. Deep-diving in storycraft to help refine your story, get you hands-on with the latest tools for creating films using your smartphone or tablet. By the end of the two days you will have gone through the complete process of making a short film from start to finish.
In May 2025, we partnered with Digital Storytellers and Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury’s Te Pokapū Pāhekoheko Hapori Community Engagement Research Lab. This workshop series gave participants the skills to FIND, MAKE, EDIT & SHARE impactful stories for projects, causes and organisations.
Over two days, participants completed a short practice video, from start to finish and have the skills to continue creating stories in the future.
